New Membership Application and Beneficiary Update Form

 

 

New Membership Enrollment – Andenet Meredaja Edir (AME)

New membership enrollment is open once a year, during late spring to early summer. The exact dates will be announced as the enrollment period approaches.

To join Andenet Meredaja Edir (AME), prospective members must complete and submit the New Membership Application and Beneficiary Update Form online.

Please note:

  • New membership applications are accepted only during the annual open enrollment period.

  • Submitting the form does not guarantee membership.

After submitting the online form, applicants must contact the AME office to schedule an in-person meeting to finalize the registration process and confirm acceptance into membership.

Membership Requirements:

  1. Complete the membership application form

  2. Only residents of the Bay Area are eligible. Proof of residency is required. You must bring a valid California ID .

  3. Pay the $525 registration fee (payment plan available upon request)

  4. If you have children under 18, bring their original birth certificate and one copy to AME 

  5. Each applicant must abide by AME's Bylaws; Must register in person — No exceptions

  6. Young Adult Discount: Applicants aged 19–29 qualify for a reduced fee of $200​

  7. There will be a mandatory six month waiting period to be eligible for death benefit.
